As Seen on The Block Australia: Four Trendz Outdoor Fireplaces

Trendz Fireplaces returned to The Block Australia this season, supplying four outdoor fireplaces for the contestants’ backyard designs.

Last season, in Season 21, our show-stopping Twin Peak, valued at $54,995, took centre stage. This year, we’re showcasing two of our most popular ready-to-light models, the Burton and Hudson, offering the same considered design and quality craftsmanship at a more accessible price point.

With the Burton starting at $9,995 and the Hudson at $12,995 in a bare concrete finish, both models make it easier to create a standout outdoor entertaining area.

We supplied two of each model, with the Burtons left in raw concrete and the Hudsons clad to complement their respective homes. Together, they show how different finishes can help an outdoor fireplace feel right at home in a range of outdoor spaces.

The Burton: Raw Concrete Character

The two Burton fireplaces were left in their raw concrete finish, showcasing the material's texture and understated character.

With its balanced proportions and distinctive chimney, the Burton brings a strong architectural presence to an outdoor space without needing additional cladding or decorative finishes. The natural concrete creates a simple, timeless look that works beautifully alongside a range of landscaping and outdoor materials.

The Hudson: Custom-Clad to Suit the Homes

The two Hudson fireplaces took a different approach, with both clad in materials selected to complement the homes they were part of.

The Hudson's square chimney and contemporary proportions make it well suited to customised finishes, allowing it to sit comfortably within a considered architectural design.

By matching the cladding to the surrounding home, the fireplaces became a natural extension of the outdoor spaces rather than a separate feature. This demonstrates how a Trendz fireplace can be tailored to suit different design styles, materials and landscapes.

Designed to Suit Your Outdoor Space

One of the advantages of a precast concrete fireplace is the flexibility it offers when planning an outdoor living area.

Some homeowners prefer the simplicity of a natural concrete finish, while others choose plaster and paint or custom cladding to complement their home's exterior, paving and landscaping.

The Burton and Hudson fireplaces featured on The Block Australia are a great example of these different approaches. Whether left in raw concrete or finished to suit the surrounding architecture, each provides a permanent focal point for outdoor entertaining.

At Trendz, we design and manufacture our fireplaces in New Zealand, creating lasting features for spaces where family and friends can gather, share a meal and enjoy time together.
